Management led by Senator Gbenga Ashafa has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a consortium in a bid to make the Federal Housing Authority meet with the trend in Information management in accordance with the global best practices.
The consortium led by Surv. Yahaya Muhammed is to manage the Information system of the Authority, relating to a geodatabase, and to validate titles on all FHA estates in Nigeria.
Signing the MOU, the MD and CE, Senator Ashafa, said the purpose of engaging the consortium is to improve the internal revenue-generating and collection of FHA, to enable it to achieve more on its mandate of providing houses to Nigerians, which will ultimately raise the Authority’s profile.
Surv. Yahaya Muhammed, leading the consortium promised to give his best in making sure FHA attains to the great heights desired for it.
Speaking further, he commended the caliber of professionals in the Authority and promised his team would work with them to achieve the intended result.
It is expected that Surv. Yahaya’s experience as a onetime Surveyor-General of the Federation and Chairman of the consortium would be handy in the digitization of the Authority.
